TopDev is a Sydney team building AI and automation for Australian small businesses. Everything we sell, we run in our own business first.

Our story

A swim school owner who spent years in IT.

TopDev was started by Mehdi Aardin inside FunToSwim, our own swim school. The phones rang during lessons, the same questions came in every day, and staff paperwork piled up after hours.

So we built fixes. An AI receptionist that answers every call became PoolDesk. Staff onboarding and compliance became Onboardly. Content and follow-ups were automated. In 2026 FunToSwim won the Swim Schools Australia Innovation Award of Excellence.

Now we build the same systems for other small businesses — clinics, gyms, childcare, trades and retail — so their teams can spend time with customers, not admin.
